With the upcoming release of AZ, I’ve been thinking about how both SV and LA will be nearly 3 and 4 years old respectively by the time AZ drops. I can’t help but feel disappointed. We spent years asking Gamefreak to take their time to develop better games, but after watching the AZ trailer, it seems like not much has changed. The lighting, textures, and overall performance look pretty similar. Even with more time left before launch, I doubt it will improve significantly. Is it unreasonable for me to want more from a series I love, especially since the hardware is capable of so much more?

I’m counting on AZ to just keep me entertained until the next console. I don’t mind if it doesn’t look like a top AAA game, just hoping they can polish up the art style and fix those frame rate issues. I don’t need it to be perfect, just better than the last couple of generations—that shouldn’t be too much to ask!
I’m with you on this one! SV is supposed to carry Gen 9, but it feels a bit underwhelming right now. It just seems like they’re struggling to keep it alive until the next big release.
I get your frustration, but I think there’s still time for improvements before the release. If you look back at the initial Legends Arceus trailer, the final game ended up looking a lot better than what we first saw. They definitely have room to enhance the visuals in AZ, so let’s not count them out just yet!
Totally agree! The final product was better, but it was still pretty rough overall.
True, it’s a bit concerning how AZ looks right now. But think about it—if it had dropped earlier in January, it might’ve been even worse! I’m hoping this extra development time actually leads to some solid upgrades before launch.
I see your point, but even with the improvements in Arceus, it still felt lacking compared to other titles. It’s not just about visuals; it’s about overall performance and gameplay mechanics too.
