Hey everyone! I’m thinking about buying a new PC and I’m really unsure if this build is worth the investment. Here are the specs:
– **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 9 9900X – 12-Core 4.40GHz (Turbo up to 5.60GHz), with 64MB L3 Cache, and it’s Pro OC Compatible with Radeon Graphics.
– **Video Card:** GeForce RTX 5080 – 16GB GDDR7, equipped with HDMI and DP, supporting NVIDIA DLSS 4 and NVIDIA Reflex 2.
– **SSD:** 2TB Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, boasting speeds of 7300MB/s Read and 7000MB/s Write.
– **Motherboard:** MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI, an ATX board with Wi-Fi 6E, USB 3.2, and 3x M.2 slots.
– **Power Supply:** MSI MAG A1000GL PCIe5 1000W 80+ Gold Fully Modular Gaming Power Supply.
Total cost will be around $2500, but about $2000 before tax. I’m just wondering if these specs will hold up for gaming at high settings and if they’re worth purchasing! Thanks for any insights!

The specs look great! This combo will run pretty much any game at max settings without breaking a sweat. But keep in mind, it might be overkill if you’re not gaming on really demanding titles. Have you thought about what kind of games you want to play?
Honestly, the RTX 5080 might be more than you need. Consider the 5070ti; you’d save some cash to put towards a better processor or other upgrades!
That’s a smart idea! I’m totally open to that as long as I get something that’s going to last a while. I’ve had PCs that fade too quickly, and I want this one to really wow me!
This build is solid for future-proofing, definitely! Expect it to last you at least 5-8 years if you keep up with general maintenance. Just make sure to balance performance and budget!

I’m mostly into AAA titles and I want high FPS with nice graphics. My current setup struggles with older games like Oblivion on low settings, so I definitely need an upgrade!
