Hey fellow gamers! I’m curious about the quest structure in KCD2. In the first game, you had to complete certain quests in a limited time, or else you’d miss them entirely. I’ve reached Trosky Castle and have some tasks lined up, but I’m unsure if I’ll lose them if I leave the castle for a while. Can anyone clarify how the timed quests work in this sequel?

It’s tricky! There’s no clear indication in the journal if a quest is timed, but listen to the NPCs. If they mention things like ‘be here tomorrow at dawn’, that usually means there’s urgency. Also, Henry tends to remind you if time’s an issue, so paying attention to the dialogue helps.
Exactly! If things seem urgent, they’ll definitely make it known. Otherwise, you can usually come back when you’re ready.
Yeah, most quests don’t require you to rush unless there’s a person missing or a deadline mentioned. Feel free to explore at your own pace!
Yeah, there are some timed quests, but overall, most of them are pretty open-ended. Don’t stress too much about it unless you’re specifically told there’s a time limit.
If you’re looking for specific quests, check out “Hush, My Darling”; that one has some timed elements in it. Just keep an eye out for clues in the dialogue too!
Totally! If they say it’s urgent or mention a specific time, that’s a big hint it might be timed.
