Are There Open World Games with Multiple Storyline Options?

-

Hey everyone! I’m looking for open world games that allow you to choose between different missions, leading to various story endings. For example, imagine starting the game with a map showing three locations for the first mission. You pick one, complete it, and then the other two options disappear from the map. After finishing the chosen mission and saving the game, you can start over and select a different mission, which leads to a completely different ending. Do such games exist?

Absolutely! Witcher 2 is great for this. Depending on the path you choose early in the game, you get locked into different storylines. It really emphasizes the importance of those initial decisions, but it’s not a huge open world – more like open zones.

Definitely check out Cyberpunk 2077! It’s the only recent game I can think of that gives you that kind of choice, at least at the start. However, keep in mind you do have to complete the intro chapter first, which locks you into a specific district where you can do multiple missions before the rest of the map unlocks.

Witcher 2 is another solid pick! It has a pivotal choice early on in the game at Flotsam village that determines your ally and sends you on a different storyline. While it’s not exactly a massive open world like some others, it does have open zones with meaningful choices that affect the outcome.
