I’m interested in picking up a Steam Deck because they seem awesome. However, I’m curious if Steam ever has sales or discounts on these devices. I’m not in a rush and could definitely wait for a sale or even for a potential Steam Deck 2 release, if that’s on the horizon.

There aren’t any solid release dates for a Steam Deck 2, and honestly, if you’re waiting for that, it might take a while. For now, if you’re looking for discounts, they occasionally do sales, but it’s pretty rare. A good option could be to grab a refurbished one when they go on sale instead.
Yeah, they do go on sale, but they’re not frequent. Gotta keep your eyes peeled! Also, don’t forget that big sales events like Black Friday might have some deals worth checking out.
Currently, Valve has mentioned there’s no Steam Deck 2 in the works that would significantly upgrade performance, so it seems like you’ll have to stick with the current model for a while longer.
