I’ve been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance and noticed that stealing seems pretty consequence-free as long as you’re not caught and don’t have stolen items on you when the guards search you. But I’m curious about knocking out people while they sleep so I can pickpocket them more easily. What happens in terms of consequences? Will they have no idea it was me, so my reputation stays intact? Do they get upset when they wake up? Any insights on this would be helpful!

If you start knocking out folks at night, it might actually raise the crime alertness of the area. So while you might not get caught right away, people around—including guards—could become more suspicious of you and more likely to search you later.
Exactly! Even if you manage to pull off the knockout without being seen, the overall crime level in the area can change. It doesn’t matter if you’re caught in the act; people will still be on high alert. Just keep that in mind before you go all stealthy on everyone.
