I’ve been on a nostalgia trip collecting all the Final Fantasy games for my PS5, but it hit me hard that I can’t play Final Fantasy XIII or its sequels on the newer console. XIII and XIII-2 are actually my favorites since they’re the only ones I’ve completed. So I was wondering if anyone has heard any rumors or leaks about a potential remaster of these games? I feel like time is running out, but then again, we’ve seen games like Oblivion and Gex get remastered years later. I’m just craving to replay XIII, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns! Is there any chatter or hints that Square Enix might finally give us a remaster for these titles? Other games like Final Fantasy I – X-2 and XII have all been re-released, so what’s the hold-up with XIII?

I’ve been slowly repurchasing the older FF games, and XIII is one of the few I skipped. They need to put it out on modern consoles—I’d definitely pay full price for it!
I really think it’s going to happen eventually. It’s kind of ludicrous that you can play just about every other Final Fantasy title but not these. Hopefully Square Enix gets around to it!
There’s been no solid news, but let’s be real, we’re at a point where surprises are likely! We’ve seen unexpected releases like Crisis Core lately, so who knows what Square is cooking up. Just keep your fingers crossed!
Right now, there’s a lot of buzz about FFIX and FFT remakes, but fans are definitely pushing for a XIII remaster. It seems like there’s interest out there, just not much movement yet.
True, but remakes like those would be more involved than the simple remaster XIII needs. Just a fresh coat of paint on the existing games would be great!
I’ve been wondering the same thing! It just doesn’t make sense to me why Square hasn’t done a remaster yet. Every now and then there’s a rumor that surfaces, but then nothing happens… I would love to replay on my PS5 Pro too!
Yeah, I mean the only one left that’s not easily playable is XI, but the whole XIII series is seriously missing from modern consoles!
