I’m curious if there are any role-playing games that immerse players in the Great War. What unique elements do these games incorporate to reflect that historical setting? I mean, World War I was more than just ‘trench warfare’; there were so many different theaters of war both on the front lines and back home. Sounds like a rich backdrop for gaming! Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Check out “Ross Rifles”! It’s a historical tabletop RPG focused on Canadian forces during WWI and even made its way into a museum for its accuracy. Pretty cool, right?
One great RPG is “Never Going Home”. It has some magical elements, but they actually serve to highlight the horrors of war, making it easier to understand the intense atmosphere of the conflict.
There’s also “Farewell to Arm Redux,” which is a hack of Mork Borg. It captures WWI’s essence with unique rules and aesthetics that fit the period well.
If you’re into Savage Worlds, there’s a setting called Weird War I that mixes historical elements with some supernatural stuff, which could be fun!
