I’ve been playing in Silver, and with the changes in Season 15, I’m finding that games drag out a lot longer than before. Here are the key changes: Nexus turrets now respawn after just 3 minutes, and they also do more damage. Additionally, Baron spawns at 25 minutes. I thought these changes would spice up the gameplay, but it’s been the opposite for me. When we’re ahead, it’s incredibly frustrating not to be able to close out the game due to these mechanics. The short respawn on turrets creates this urgency that often leads my less experienced teammates to make bad decisions, allowing the enemy team to recover. Baron’s late spawn doesn’t help either, as it gives the other team extra time to level up and come back into the game. How do I effectively end matches in this new landscape?

It’s a tricky situation! Riot’s always trying to balance gameplay. I agree it’s frustrating to see your lead evaporate, but try not to rely too much on Baron as a win condition. If you’re well ahead, just push those lanes and take inhibs. Waiting for Baron can sometimes be an unnecessary risk that gives the enemy too much time. If you can maintain pressure and let minions do their thing, your chances of closing out the game will improve.
Exactly! Just focus on objective pressure without getting caught up in the idea that Baron is essential.
I totally get your frustration! It sounds like you might need to adjust your strategy a bit. Instead of relying purely on taking Baron to end the game, focus on playing around your team. Try to force fights when you’re ahead; if your team is together, you can usually secure objectives much quicker. Remember, even if the turrets are tougher, they can still fall if you have super minions pushing! Just pick your moments and look for squishy champions to take out first, especially since you’re playing Garen!
Thanks for the advice! I definitely want to leverage team fights more. It’s just tough when everyone seems to go off and make solo plays.
Honestly, sometimes just waiting for those super minions can win games, too. They’ll do a lot of the work for you!
Each season has its ups and downs, and it seems this year is all about that balance. A lot of players are feeling your pain about games being drawn out too long. What’s important is to adapt—if you find your team is lagging behind in understanding the right moves, sometimes you’ll have to guide them gently. If they aren’t ready to team up to end the game effectively, consider sneaking in some split-push plays instead! Just be ready to back off if you spot trouble.
Yeah, I guess I’ll have to get a little sneaky with split pushing. Hopefully, my team can back me up when it counts!
Good luck! Just stay aware of the map and watch for those opportunities to strike.
I think you’re right! I’ll start prioritizing lane pushes a bit more rather than just waiting for Baron.
