I’m thinking about jumping into Guild Wars 2 and I’m curious whether it’s a good idea to invest in all the expansions right off the bat. Are there any recommendations or tips for getting started?

Absolutely, the expansions are worth it, but I suggest trying out the base game first. It’s free, so you can get a feel for it before committing. Plus, there’s a sale at the end of March, which would be a great time to buy the expansions if you enjoy the game!
The expansions do provide a lot of content for what you pay! Just wait for that March sale; you’ll be able to enjoy the base game and see if it’s your jam. Those bundles are a steal during sales!
yes. no. maybe? i don’t know.
Definitely consider waiting before dropping a ton of money. You can have a blast with a free account, and once you feel hooked, you should grab the Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire bundle when it’s on sale—usually around $7.50, which is an insane deal! Just a heads up, there are also Living World Seasons that you’ll want to check out in between expansions.
Totally agree! The free version offers a significant trial experience and if you end up liking it, the expansions bring in cool features like mounts and new areas.
