Hey everyone, I’ve heard mixed opinions about AMD GPUs, especially regarding their performance in VR. Is it true that they aren’t great for VR gaming? I’m specifically asking about the 9070 and 9070XT series. Appreciate any insights!

I’ve been using a 6700 XT with my Quest 3, and it works really well, especially when wired. I’d guess the 9070 XT would perform even better, so you should be fine!
If you’re using a PC VR headset like the HTC Vive or Valve Index, AMD GPUs should perform similarly to equivalent Nvidia GPUs. But, if you’ve got a standalone VR headset like the Meta Quest, Nvidia might have the upper hand due to better video encoding. Basically, with AMD, you might experience slightly lower quality streaming and higher latency. They still work, but if you’re picky about those factors, Nvidia could be a better bet.
