For the past several weeks, I’ve been battling team leaders daily in Master League hoping to get Sinnoh stones as a reward. Up until about five weeks ago, I usually got 1-2 Sinnoh stones per week from these battles. But recently, I’ve mostly been getting Stardust and occasional other random items like Rare Candy or Charged TMs, with no Sinnoh stones in sight. I’m not super interested in diving into PvP battles just to chase Sinnoh stones, especially since so many powerful Pokémon need them to evolve. Has anyone else noticed this drop in Sinnoh stone rewards from team leaders? Do I need to switch leaders or intentionally lose battles to boost my chances? Any tips or insights would be appreciated!

Honestly, it’s probably just RNG being RNG. I’ve done daily team leader battles too and had weeks where I got 1-2 Sinnoh stones, but then I’ve also had long streaks where I got nothing but Stardust or other items. There was a 9-week dry spell last fall where not a single Sinnoh stone dropped for me, but then it bounced back. So it might feel like something changed, but it’s more likely just an unlucky streak.
I haven’t gotten Sinnoh stones consistently from team leaders either. My main source tends to be doing buddy PvP battles with friends or family, like battling my wife to work towards best buddy status. That way I get stones and enjoy battling without stressing about it too much.
Oh cool, I didn’t realize doing buddy PvP battles could yield Sinnoh stones too. Sounds way more fun than just grinding against team leaders. Thanks for the tip!
From what I’ve seen, Sinnoh stones drop from battling team leaders in different leagues with varying chances: about 5% in Great League, 6% in Ultra League, and 10% in Master League. You also get a random chance from the weekly stamp box or from winning at least 2 PvP battles in a set. So if you’re mainly focusing on Master League battles with leaders but getting poor drops, it could really just be bad luck.
Yeah, I always do Master League battles against the leaders. Maybe I just need to keep at it and hope RNG swings back in my favor. Appreciate the breakdown!
That actually makes me feel better knowing others have similar streaks of bad luck. Thanks for the insight!
