I just dove into Oracle of Ages and Seasons after missing them on the Game Boy Color and I’m finding them pretty tough! While playing Ages, I got stuck countless times and needed to keep a guide open. Seasons wasn’t as bad, but I still hit a few walls. The difficulty in combat is frustrating too, especially since there’s hardly any heart drops, and getting hit feels punishing without any invincibility frames. I’m starting to wonder if it’s just me being bad at these games or if they’re really as challenging as they seem. Anyone else feel the same way?

I think the combat can be pretty challenging, especially with the way healing works. You’re not wrong about the lack of heart drops being annoying. If you get hit a few times in a row, it can really set you back. But it’s a satisfying experience once you start figuring things out!
Exactly! It’s frustrating but also rewarding when you finally get past a tough section.
Yeah, I agree! They feel a bit more convoluted compared to other Zeldas I’ve played. The dungeons often require some thinking outside the box, especially in Ages, which focuses mainly on puzzle-solving. But it’s all about learning the mechanics, and it might feel harder without that background knowledge.
That makes sense! I really need to familiarize myself with the mechanics better.
Totally! I struggled a bit too, but once you get the hang of it, things start clicking.
Honestly, they are tougher than many of the other Zelda titles. I went down pretty frequently in Oracle of Seasons myself! There’s definitely a step up in difficulty.
For sure! I appreciate the challenge, it just takes some getting used to.
