Hey everyone! I haven’t played Warframe in quite some time and I’m curious about loot frames. Specifically, I want to know how effective they are at increasing drops beyond just the basic materials like orokin cells or polymers. If I’ve got plenty of those already, do loot frames still hold their value for farming other resources?

Honestly, it kind of depends on what you’re farming. Some of the newer drops aren’t affected by loot frames, which can be annoying. It’s a good idea to check if those specific items still benefit from having a loot frame in your squad, especially in later areas. The game’s changed quite a bit since you last played, but there are still plenty of scenarios where loot frames can help out.
Loot frames are still worth bringing if you’re specifically after drops. If you’re not looking for extra resources, feel free to skip them. A lot of players have stockpiles of materials, so loot frames mostly get used to help others. They’ve switched up the meta a bit too; Atlas is now the top loot frame, while Khora has seen a decline. Nekros is still the go-to for passive drops, and Ivara is pretty much just for Shedu farming now.
Yeah, the value of loot frames can drop if you’re just grinding without needing certain resources. If you’re mostly collecting for your dojo or something similar, you might not need the extra drops they provide. However, if you bring Nekros along for material farming, his abilities can really boost your haul even more. It’s all about what you’re specifically hunting for!
