I’ve been enjoying Oblivion, flaws and all, but I’ve noticed a big issue with the Remastered version on consoles. According to Digital Foundry, the game seems to perform worse the longer you play, and the frequent hitching in the open world isn’t charming—it’s frustrating. As far as I know, besides a hotfix for Xbox that didn’t help much, we haven’t seen any real performance updates. I bought it for my PS5 Pro, and I’m honestly feeling a bit ripped off with how poorly it runs. How’s everyone else feeling about the performance? I hope I’m mistaken, but it seems like there’s been no real follow-up on patches since the game’s release. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I bet we’ll see more patches. But since it’s built on Unreal Engine 5, I’m kinda worried they won’t do much to improve performance.
Yes! Bethesda just confirmed that a patch is hitting all platforms tomorrow, June 11th. This first patch is mainly for bugs and crashes, and they’re currently testing it in a beta on Steam. They also mentioned a second patch aimed at performance improvements coming in the next few weeks. So there’s hope!
Thanks for the update! I hadn’t been following the official news closely. I guess I’ll hold my breath for that second patch before deciding. It’s still disappointing that it launched this way, but at least it sounds like they care!
Do we know if they’re going to fix the duplication glitch? I mean, I wouldn’t abuse it, just curious!
