I’ve noticed that Bracer, Wraith Band, and Null Talisman feel pretty pointless after the early game since their nerfs. Aside from a few heroes like Storm and Doom who can make good use of them, they just don’t feel worth picking up anymore. I think it might be time for a recipe change. What if we changed the recipes so Bracer is made from two Gauntlets and a Circlet, similar adjustments for Wraith Band and Null Talisman, while allowing them to be disassembled? Also, we could revise the recipes for midgame items like Witch Blade and Phylactery to require two Gauntlets, emulating how Soul Ring works. This way, these early items could actually give decent stats and serve double duty by upgrading into something useful later on. For instance, Jakiro could get the extra mana from Null Talisman to cast more spells in the lane but then convert it into something like Force Staff or Atos, so the gold spent doesn’t feel wasted. Would love to hear your thoughts!

I don’t think reverting them back to how they were is the solution. Changing the recipe and allowing disassembly sounds like a bit much. But if we think of having an upgrade for Treads that incorporates one of these items, that could work! Maybe something like 1500 gold that gives some nice stats without messing with the core mechanics too much.
I think they should keep their current state. They’re performing well after the early game balance changes. Plus, if I’m investing in a lane item, I’d prefer to buy something like Orb of Corrosion instead of Wraith Band. Wraith Band just doesn’t do it for me anymore.
Honestly, these items are made to help players dominate their lanes. If you feel you’ve outgrown them, just sell them off! If you’re having trouble in lane, you should be happy with the advantage these items gave you. No reason to go hard on changing them.
I get the point of these items being for the early game, but I feel like they could also do better by allowing for upgrades. They don’t have to be top-tier late-game, but maybe a better system to combine them into something useful later could keep them relevant.
You’re right! It’s like they keep bringing out new items to buff agility carries and then revert the changes when everyone starts using them. They’ve done it with items like Aquila and Dragon Lance. It’s a cycle!
