Hey folks! I’m curious about the future of AAA game ports on Android. Games like Death Stranding have made it to iOS, but will we see similar high-quality titles on Android? What are your thoughts on the viability of these ports considering player preferences and company investments? Would you be willing to pay for them?

Honestly, I doubt we’ll see many AAA titles on Android. The reality is, most gamers aren’t shelling out $60 for mobile versions, which makes it tough for developers to justify the time and money to port these games. They have to consider whether the effort to adapt controls and graphics is worth it, especially since many folks opt for cheaper or free titles instead.
Totally agree! It just seems that in the current gaming market, users lean towards gacha games and $2 titles instead of paying full price. Until there’s a significant shift in how mobile gamers spend their money, companies won’t invest in bringing major titles over. I really think we’ll stick to seeing smaller games instead.
We’ve actually got some AAA games like Genshin Impact and XCOM 2 available on Android, but if you’re referring to really big hits, then I think we’re out of luck. There’s hope though, maybe a subscription model similar to Xbox Game Pass for Android could change the scene.
