I’ve been having a frustrating issue in Apex Legends where it feels like enemies always spot me first. My aim seems super delayed, especially with certain guns like the Devotion or R-99. It’s nearly impossible to one-clip anyone, and I’m barely landing even a third of the damage I expect.
The problem isn’t limited to just those weapons; overall aiming feels off. I notice this strange input delay where my screen and aim seem behind what’s actually happening in the game. I can’t quite explain it, but it feels like I’m constantly reacting late, even though I’m tracking correctly.
Also, my audio seems messed up. I hear building sounds and footsteps as if they’re either super quiet or just completely missing. However, when I watch streams or videos, I can hear everything clearly. It seriously seems like my game is lagging behind in both visuals and sounds.
I run a high-end PC with stable FPS and 20-30 ping, so I don’t think it’s a performance issue. Could this be a known bug? Has anyone found a fix for it?

Sounds like you might be dealing with desync issues. I’ve had games with weird audio where there were no hit markers and everything sounded off. It’s been server-specific for me; lately, the aiming has felt better than in the past few seasons.
Honestly, it might just be about getting in the right headspace for competitive play. If you’re tracking well when watching others, maybe the anxiety of the game is throwing you off. Just try to stay calm!
Hey, have you checked if you’re using a VPN? It might be related to packet delays. Also, consider turning off QoS or network shaping on your router. If you test it in the training ground and it happens against players but not bots, that might indicate a network issue rather than a hardware problem.
I tried toggling my router’s game mode, but it didn’t help much. It seems the firing range lag only happens with players for me too.
