I’ve enjoyed a lot of immersive games with expansive worlds like Red Dead Redemption 2, The Last of Us, Cyberpunk 2077, and others. I’m on the lookout for another gripping adventure that isn’t overly confined to a linear path. I appreciate games that offer freedom of movement and the ability to adapt my play style, often favoring stealth. I typically play on PS5. Any recommendations for games I might enjoy next? For context, I couldn’t get into Witcher 3 or Elden Ring. Considering options like A Plague Tale, but curious if there are other gems I might have overlooked.

The Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy might be up your alley. It combines exploration with a strong story and dynamic gameplay, similar to games like The Last of Us.
The Spider-Man games from Insomniac might be what you’re looking for. They feature open-world exploration and engaging narratives. I highly enjoyed the first game, and the follow-up, Miles Morales, was a fun ride.
Have you checked out Death Stranding? It isn’t everyone’s cup of tea due to its unique pacing, but its storytelling and world-building offer something special if you give it a chance.
Another game you might enjoy is Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It’s got a large open world, a gripping narrative, and a variety of play styles including stealth and combat.
I’d suggest giving Kingdom Come: Deliverance a try, especially with its sequel coming soon. It provides a detailed world and focuses on realism, so it might hit the right notes for what you’re into.
The Yakuza series, particularly Yakuza 0 or Yakuza: Like a Dragon, could be a great next step for you. They offer rich storytelling with plenty of exploration and a mix of combat styles to enjoy.
Far Cry 5 could be a good match. It has a large, interactive open world with both action and stealth options for gameplay. If you haven’t given it a shot yet, it might be worth considering.
Also look into the other Ubisoft titles like Watchdogs 2 and The Division 2, which have expansive worlds and diverse gameplay options.
Definitely start with the first game to get the full experience, then jump into Miles Morales. Even if you were hesitant at first, you might enjoy it given your past likes.
