I’m on the lookout for some modern games that resemble classic shooters like R-Type or Raiden. Ideally, I’d like to play these on my PS5. Any recommendations?

You might want to check out Sol Cresta. It’s a PS4 game but should run on PS5. It’s not a perfect match for R-Type, but it has that classic feel. Also, keep in mind that there aren’t many shoot ’em ups on PS5; it’s more popular on PC or Switch.
