Hey everyone! I’m really enjoying Baldur’s Gate 3 so far, but I think I might’ve messed up my progress. I’ve put about four hours into the game, and my current party consists of Shadow Heart, Wyll, Gale, and my fighter gyth, all at level 3. I’m currently at the goblin camp trying to rescue Halsin, and while I’ve taken down Priestess Gut and Milandra (I might be mixing up her name…), I’m struggling to beat the third leader, Ragzlin. Is it too soon for me to attempt this quest, or am I just not good enough? Also, after I saved Halsin, he lectured me about taking a long rest instead of going on a killing spree. Did I jump into this quest prematurely?

You definitely went straight from the Emerald Grove to the goblin camp too quickly. There’s a lot between those two locations that can help you level up, even getting you up to level 5! I’d recommend taking some time to explore.
Honestly, at level 3, you might just be a bit under-leveled for Ragzlin. It could be helpful to explore a bit more before tackling him again. There’s plenty to discover that can help you level up faster!
An option to consider during the Dror Ragzlin fight: try knocking enemies into the spider pits below! Or climb up to the rafters for ranged attacks. Just keep an eye out so they don’t knock you down!
Yeah, I’d say it’s pretty early for you to be facing off against Dror Ragzlin. I’d advise fast traveling out, gaining some experience, and then coming back when you’re at least level 4, maybe even level 5 for a smoother fight.
For sure, you won’t regret leveling up before going back. A little exploration will definitely help a lot!
It sounds like you’re having a tough time with Ragzlin! If he’s already aggroed, try using some explosives to kick off the fight. I like to stockpile explosives right in front of him, blow them up, and it draws the other goblins in! Also, you can hop up into the rafters from Gut’s room and shoot him from above.
Totally agree! Using barrels is key here. I set them up with a strong character and boom, instant chaos!
Yeah, those smoke powder barrels in the Zhents’ room are a game changer! You can deal serious damage without putting yourself at risk.
Exactly! You might want to set this mission aside for now and look for some hidden basements or other quests to boost your level.
