I’ve been focusing on populating Newcrest with a ton of Sims I made, which are basically my OCs from Guild Wars 2. I’ve spent weeks tweaking their characters and working on custom content, but I haven’t actually played or built any houses yet. I’m starting to feel like I might be missing out on the actual gameplay. Is it normal to get kind of stuck on creating instead of playing? I’m a bit anxious about having to start over if I decide to fix something about the households. Is this how most people play the Sims 4 these days?

Yeah, I used to spend ages just making Sims without playing. Roofing isn’t my strong suit either, so I stick with easier options. Eventually, I started playing it more and found that balance is key!
You’re not alone! A lot of players just enjoy creating in CAS or building pretty houses instead of playing. It’s totally fine to have your own approach! There’s really no wrong way to enjoy the game, you do you!
Haha, bringing GW2 characters into the Sims is awesome! There’s definitely no one way to play. Many joke about spending hours on mods for just a few minutes of gameplay, and honestly, if you’re having fun with your characters, you’re doing it right!
I totally get that! I like to build a few households and then play with them for a bit. Doing it all at once can be overwhelming and lead to burnout, so take your time!
Absolutely! Enjoying the process is what counts. Besides, changing things later is totally fine!
