Hey everyone, I could use some advice on upgrading my small form factor PC. Right now, it’s rocking an i5 2400S processor alongside 8 GB of RAM, but there’s no GPU in there. I’m thinking about upgrading the processor, but I’m not sure what would be a good choice. Plus, I want to add an older, used GPU that fits within a 5k INR budget. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Honestly, with an i5 2400S and no GPU in sight, you’re better off starting from scratch if you can save up some more cash. That CPU’s pretty old tech now, and getting a new motherboard and setup might be a better long-term investment.
If budget is tight and you can’t overhaul everything, consider a used CPU upgrade to maybe an i7 that’s compatible with your current motherboard. As for the GPU, you could probably find an older model like a GTX 750 Ti within your budget, which should give a good performance boost without breaking the bank.
I agree with holding back on new parts. Your existing setup can still be workable, especially for older games. Check out used markets for GPUs, but double-check that your SFF case has room and sufficient power supply for the card you choose. Perhaps a Radeon HD 7850 could be a decent choice.
Thanks! I’ll look into that. Do you think it’ll work for games like GTA V and GTA IV that I like to play?
