Trophy Guide & Road Map [toggle]
Welcome to the Uncharted 2 platinum guide. This guide will help you get the platinum trophy as quickly as possible. If you were able to get the platinum for the first Uncharted game then you shouldn’t have much trouble getting the platinum for this. There are a good few trophies that are actually the same in both games and can be unlocked using similar tactics.
You will need to play this game twice in order to get all of the trophies. Your first playthrough should be on hard difficulty. This is pretty tough, but it is required in order to unlock crushing difficulty. Once you get the hang of things you won’t struggle too much. Make sure to headshot as often as you can. You are going to die a few times, but it will help you get good at the game. You really have your work cut out for you on crushing difficulty so playing on hard first will have you sharp.
As you are playing through hard difficulty, try to get as many of the trophies as you can. You should be trying to get all of the treasures and as many of the kill trophies. Since you are going to be dying a lot, you will likely get a lot of the kill trophies due to restarting a lot of checkpoints. If you miss any trophies, it will be best to wait until after you have beaten the game on crushing to go ahead with the clean up.
When playing through the game on crushing, you should just focus on making it through the game in one piece. Don’t bother too much trying to get other trophies. If it’s easy to do it then go for the trophy, but don’t do anything that puts you at risk or it will end up taking so much longer to complete the game. The end boss of the game is hard as nails. There are plenty of video guides around the web that you can use to learn the best tactics. I suggest you check out as many of these as possible. This boss is hard!
Once you have the crushing trophy, you should also get the platinum. If there are any trophies left to get use chapter select on easy difficulty to do a clean up.

Treasures are found by looking out for a white strobe light flash around the game world. You will likely find a large amount of these without the need for a guide as they are usually in fairly obvious locations and the white flash makes them easy to locate. There are a few tricky ones, so I suggest you follow the video guide below.

The strange relic shows up in the game just like a treasure does. It will be hidden and can be found by the flashing light. Use the video below to find the relic which is located in chapter 5.

This can be done on easy difficulty. Wait until you have completed the game on crushing difficulty to attempt this. Firstly you might get this without even trying and second by the time you have beaten the game on crushing you will be pretty damn good at the game. Killing 75 enemies in a row on easy difficulty will be a walk in the park.

While playing on crushing it should be your main focus to get as many headshots as possible. A headshot is a 1 shot kill so make sure to get these as often as you can.

This one is also pretty easy. It can be a bit of a challenge on crushing as you usually want to kill enemies as quickly as possible. If you do this on easy you will get the 5 headshots first go. You won't need to worry about getting killed as much so you can put yourself at more risk in order to get the headshots.

The shotgun will be the best weapon for this. Since the shotgun has a spread and is powerful you will have a much better chance at killing the enemy without missing.

You will encounter a good few instances where hanging is the best form of cover that you have. Hanging off the edge of a cliff or something is some of the best cover you can use, provided there are no enemies below. Take advantage of this form of cover on crushing difficulty to work toward getting this trophy and to also give yourself much needed cover from enemy gunfire.

Simply get 50 kills with this weapon. If you find a location where you have this weapon and plenty of ammo, you can get some kills and then die on purpose. This will bring you back to the previous checkpoint with all your ammo back without resetting the kill counter.

There are a few different places to get this trophy. You can use one of the very many guides that are out there. Here is one method that you can use to get the trophy

This one is fairly easy to get, but it might take a few attempts to get this. If you find yourself in a good location where you have a few grenades and a good place to get the kills, you can grind this. Drop off the cliff or kill yourself in some way in order to get your grenades back without resetting the kill count.

Hand to hand combat is performed using the square button. You should get this without even trying.

Hand to hand combat is performed using the square button. If you are low on bullets or on a stealth level, killing 10 enemies in a row using your fists is a really good idea.

Stealth attacks can only be performed when an enemy is unaware of your presence. If you can sneak up behind an enemy and kill them you will get a stealh kill. There are a few chapters that will contain a lot of stealth areas where you can get this trophy a bit easier. As with all trophies, you can die and respawn to grind this trophy a bit easier.

I would not suggest going for this on crushing difficulty as it will result in a lot of deaths. Using chapter select you can replay the game on easy difficulty and get this trophy very easily. What you need to do is shoot an enemy a few times with a bullet so as not to kill them. Then hit them with a punch to finish them off. If the enemy has too much health and requires 2 punches then it will not count. You will get the hang of this after a few tries. All enemies have different health to try it out on a few enemies to get the hang of it.

Doing this in a row is tricky. I would sugges that you play a level you are comfortable with using chapter select on easy difficulty. Get familiar with the enemies in the level and the weapon that you are using to see how many shots it usually takes to be able to achieve the one punch kill. Once you have the hang of it aim for a clean run where you kill them all in a row. On easy difficulty you should be able to run up close and won't die from a few hits.

This trophy stacks with all with the other difficulty trophies.

This trophy is the only trophy that's going to give you a hard time. To unlock this difficulty you need to beat the game on hard first. You will need to take all of your best skills to get through this difficulty.
Beating the game on crushing is pretty difficult. You will need to take cover as much as possible and work on your aim so that you can get as many headshots as possible. A lot of areas are pretty easy once you are familiar with the environment. When you know the best way to approach an area, it will be much easier to complete. If at all possible try to sealth kill enemies as often as you can. If you shoot them you will alert all of the enemies in the area. If you can stealth kill as many enemies as possible you might even be able to sneak past some and never need to engage combat.
The boss fight at the end of the game is very difficult. I had to turn the console off and take a break as it was getting too frustrating. With enough persistence you will be able to kill him. His grenades are the only major issue since they wipe you out pretty quick. Just keep trying and you will eventually figure it out.
