Steel-type Pokémon are one of the 18 different types of Pokémon in the Pokémon franchise. These Pokémon are often based on metal and mechanical constructs. They are known for their high defense and resistance to a variety of types, including Normal, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Steel, Fairy and Poison-type moves. They are also known for their ability to resist or cause status conditions like poison and paralysis. They are weak against Fire, Fighting and Ground-type moves. Steel-types are super effective against Fairy, Ice, Rock and also weak against Fire, Fighting and Ground types. Some well-known Steel-type Pokémon include Magnemite, Metagross, and Excadrill.
