Psychic-type Pokémon are one of the 18 different types of Pokémon in the Pokémon franchise. These Pokémon are often based on psychic or telepathic abilities and are known for their powerful special attacks and high special defense. They also have the ability to cause status conditions like confusion, which can disrupt the opponent’s moves. They are also known for their resistance to Fighting- and Psychic-type moves, but are weak against Bug-, Dark-, and Ghost-type moves. Psychic-types are super effective against Fighting and Poison types, but weak against Bug, Dark and Ghost types. Some well-known Psychic-type Pokémon include Abra, Mewtwo and Gardevoir.
