Ice Pokémon are one of the 18 different types of Pokémon in the Pokémon franchise. These Pokémon are often based on ice, snow, and cold weather. They are known for their powerful special attacks, high special defense and their ability to slow down opponents with moves such as ice beam and blizzard. They are also known for their ability to freeze opponents, which can leave them unable to move. Ice-type Pokémon are also known for their resistance to Ice-type moves, but are weak against Fire-, Fighting-, Rock-, and Steel-type moves. Ice-types are super effective against Grass, Ground, Flying and Dragon types, but weak against Fire, Fighting, Rock and Steel types. Some well-known Ice-type Pokémon include Jynx, Lapras and Glaceon.
