Flying-type Pokémon are one of the 18 different types of Pokémon in the Pokémon franchise. These Pokémon are often based on birds, bats, and other flying creatures. They are known for their high speed, aerial mobility and their ability to fly. They also tend to be strong against Grass, Fighting and Bug types but weak against Electric and Rock moves. Many of the flying type pokémon also have secondary types like Normal, Electric and Fire. Flying-type Pokémon are also known for their resistance to Ground-type moves, but are weak against Rock-type and Electric-type moves. Some well-known Flying-type Pokémon include Pidgey, Fearow and Gyarados (which has a secondary flying type)
