Dark-type Pokémon are one of the 18 different types of Pokémon in the Pokémon franchise. These Pokémon are known for their association with darkness, shadows, and secrecy. They tend to have a sinister appearance and are often based on nocturnal animals or creatures of folklore. They are known for their ability to learn moves that target the opponent’s weaknesses, such as moves that lower their defense or evasion. Dark-type Pokémon are also known for their resistance to Psychic-type moves, but are weak against Fairy-type moves. Some well-known Dark-type Pokémon include Umbreon, Murkrow and Spiritomb.
