Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Announced for Summer 2025
Digital Sun has officially unveiled Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, the follow-up to its beloved indie action-RPG. Building on the unique blend of dungeon-crawling gameplay and shopkeeping mechanics that made the original popular, this sequel is scheduled for release in Summer 2025. Partnering once again with publisher 11 bit studios, Digital Sun invites players to dive back into the dual life of Wil, the shopkeeper-turned-hero.
The sequel promises to expand on the distinct formula of its predecessor, offering players not only the thrill of exploring perilous dungeons but also the satisfying depth of managing a profitable shop. As Wil, players will juggle the dangers of expeditions with the opportunity to grow their business back in the village of Tresna—a brand-new location for the series. By investing in the village, the overall world and player capabilities will evolve in meaningful ways.
Players can look forward to a host of new features, such as dynamic dungeons with ever-shifting layouts and environments. Relics now offer special properties, bringing added tactical layers to both combat and inventory management. The shopkeeping side of the game gains fresh mechanics too, including boosts and charms that can be leveraged to maximize sales and attract more customers than ever before.
With its new dimension-hopping portals, the game re-emphasizes its core message: a merchant’s journey truly never ends. Wil’s adventures are poised to deliver both familiar satisfaction and inventive twists for veterans and newcomers alike. The new gameplay trailer highlights many of these enhancements and even teases exciting new traversal options like ziplines.
