Minecraft Slime Farm

Materials needed to make a slime farm in Minecraft

  1. 22 stacks of Jack o’ lanterns
  2. Dirt
  3. Signs
  4. Water buckets
  5. Ladders

Step 1

Go to a website called Slime Finder to know where slimes spawn in your world. Type in your seed and it will show you all the places where slimes spawn in your world . When you have found a slime chunk that you want to build on,clear out a 22×22 area and dig it all the way down to bedrock. This may take a while so I would advise you to get a few people to help you.

Step 2

When you are on bedrock put down a layer of blocks. Then on top of these blocks put down more blocks to make a 16×16 area. On top of these blocks, place down Jack o’ lanterns.

Step 3

Go on top of the Jack o’ lanterns and on 1 corner build up by 3 using dirt. Then on the 3 block, build a roof/platform covering the 16×16 area. Then on top of the dirt, place down
more Jack o’ lanterns. Keep repeating this until you reach level 36. In slime chunks, slimes won’t spawn on levels higher than 36.

Step 4

Go to the corner opposite to where you want to have your killing room and cut that corner off. Build it all the way to the surface. Then go back down to the bottom and go to the
place that you cut off. On the second block, place down 3 buckets of water going across.

Step 5

When the water stops, put down 3 signs. Come in and up 1 and put down 3 more signs. Put a block against the wall and on the the other side of the wall put down a bucket of
water. Also put a bucket of water connecting to the block. Then remove the block and where the block was, put down more water.

Step 6

When you get to the corner do the same thing you just did. On the blocks ahead of you place down 3 more sources of water. Repeat everything you just did on the other side
and the water should come to 1 point in the middle. This is where the slimes will end up. Dig a hole in the wall where you can go to kill the slimes.

When you are digging out the 22×22 area make sure that you light up any caves that you find because if mobs are spawning in caves it will effect the spawning rates of your
slime farm. You can use the slime farm as a source of xp. When making my slime farm, I got all of these slime balls
