I have a PS3 and want to get the PSVR. Can I use the headset to play VR games on the PS3?

The PS3 does not have any VR games released for it. Even if the VR headset did work, there would not be any Vr games to play on it. The PS4 is just about able to render VR games. To do it the resolution per eye is super low. The PS3 has less power so VR on this system would be a waste of time.
