This guide provides you a step-by-step walkthrough of the level with an added bonus of a section dedicated solely to answering some of the most hard-pressed queries, designed to resonate with your specific search needs. Let’s begin your journey without further ado and see what lies in the depths of the cellar!
Entering the Cellar
As you enter the cellar be aware of rats present. Though the accompanying monster theme might appear daunting, they aren’t a serious threat unless your energy points are already low. Do note, they’re invincible and thus, maintaining distance is advisable.
Finding Bullets
Under the stairway, on a shelf, you’ll find 6 bullets for your revolver. Collect these for extra ammunition (optional but recommended).
Accessing the Underground Tunnels (Optional)
This part isn’t necessary for the progression of the game and might risk your survival, so proceed with caution.
Move to the other side of the cellar until you spot two large red barrels with a wooden block on their right.
Take the wooden block but ensure you’re not in the barrels’ path; they’ll roll to the right causing severe damage if they crush you. Saving the game before attempting this can prevent accidental deaths.
Once the barrels have moved, drop the wooden block to reveal a secret passage that leads to an encounter with a deadly worm creature. Run away immediately to avoid death.
Note: This doesn’t aid your game progression because you’d still be able to escape the underground caves later on even without unlocking this passage now.
Finding the Book
Next to the barrels, on a shelf, find a book with extended background information (also optional). When everything is done, leave the cellar by taking the stairway up.
Smoking Room Access
With the key found in Jeremy’s Bedroom, you can now unlock and enter the smoking room’s double doors, leading to Jeremy’s study.
