Rare items in Destiny 2 are items that are higher in quality than common (white) items but lower in quality than legendary (purple) items. Rare items are typically designated by a blue color in the game and can be found in various ways, such as through loot drops, reward packages, or from vendors.
While rare weapons and armor were once useful to players, various changes to the game have rendered rare items quite useless and are used for nothing more than selling and deconstructing for glimmer.
The lack of use for rare combat gear has not impacted the usefulness and presence of other rare objects and items that are used for various other elements of gameplay in Destiny 2. Below you will find a full list of rare items available in the game.
