For the quest “An ounce of prevention” in fallout 76, I have a quest objective to extract a blood sample from a feral ghoul. I don’t know how to do this. I have killed lots of ghouls now and none of them have dropped this. Do I need to use a special weapon or has the quest glitched?

The blood sample is not something that is dropped randomly. You will need to kill a ghoul. Then hover over its body and you will see there is a new option. Pressing the action button you can extract the blood sample this way. You can do it on any ghoul.
