It feels like VR has been on the way forever, but the wait is getting less and less. The partnership between Steam and HTC is an exciting one and will likely bring great things for gamers, but it will likely be a while before most of us are able to get our hands on the hardware. The good news for the HTC Vive is that the gaming giant Valve are a partner and are releasing some seriously cool content for it. The Aperture Robot Repair simulation is one of the most fun looking pieces of content we have seen thus far.
Valve will likely be producing quite a bit of content to support the HTC Vive, which is more great news for fans of Valve games. Once piece of content we know about involves the highly popular portal series. The Aperture robot repair simulation. This isnt quite a game, but it looks pretty damn amazing just from looking at the video. One can only imagine how amazing this gets when you are actually playing this using the VR headset.
The traditional Portal humor has returned with a pretty funny looking virtual reality experience. It’s unlikely that this will be made into any full length experience unless the sales of the HTC Vive are off the charts, but this is more than enough to keep me happy. Who knows what will come after this.
